This article assumes you\u2019ve already created your new email account in Plesk or cPanel.<\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s learn how to setup that new email account in Outlook Express, so you\u2019ll be able to send\/receive emails to\/from that new email account from here.<\/p>\n

How to Configure a POP email account in Microsoft Outlook Express<\/h2>\n

  1. Open Outlook Express<\/li>\n
  2. Go to “Tools<\/strong>” and click on “Accounts<\/strong>“<\/li>\n
  3. An “Internet Accounts<\/strong>” window will pop up. Select the Mail tab, then “Add<\/strong>“, then click on “Mail<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  4. This will start up Internet Connection Wizard. Enter your name where it says “Display name:<\/strong>” and click “Next<\/strong>” at the bottom right.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the Next button<\/li>\n
  6. Enter your Email address in the input box. This does NOT have to be your “username@yourdomain.com”( you can use “john@yourdomain.com, webmaster@yourdomain.com, etc). Then click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  7. Click the Next button<\/li>\n
  8. In the\u00a0Incoming mail<\/strong>\u00a0field type mail.yourdomain.com
    \nIn the\u00a0Outgoing mail<\/strong>\u00a0(SMTP)field type mail.yourdomain.com
    \n(so if your domain name is elitepolls.com, then you would put “mail.elitepolls.com” there). Click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. For the Account Name, type the full email address (including the domain name). In the Password section, type the password for the email.<\/li>\n
  10. Click the Next button<\/li>\n
  11. Click the Finish button<\/li>\n
  12. You should still see the Mail tab, so click the Properties button<\/li>\n
  13. Select the Servers tab<\/li>\n
  14. Check the box at the bottom which says “My server requires authentication”<\/li>\n
  15. Select the Advanced tab<\/li>\n
  16. At the top, you will see “Server Port Numbers” and “Outgoing mail (SMTP):” with a value of 25. You need to change this to port 587<\/strong> if you are not able to send emails using 25.<\/li>\n
  17. Click the Apply button, OK button, and the Close button.<\/li>\n
  18. You’re done!
