Log browser assists you in troubleshooting issues with your websites by parsing the web server logs and displaying relevant warnings and error messages in the Plesk interface. Information from the following logs is displayed:<\/p>\n

IIS log:<\/strong> This log records all requests processed by the web server, both HTTP and HTTPS, as well as any errors that the web server encounters in processing requests.<\/p>\n

To access the website log in Plesk Control Panel<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Login To Plesk Control Panel.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Go to\u00a0Websites and Domains
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Locate the domain name for which you want to view the Log.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Logs.
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. You will be presented with the list of relevant messages gathered from the logs. Once you open the log browser, a ‘snapshot’ of the messages that have been logged up to that moment is created; newly logged messages are not displayed. You can update the list of logged messages by clicking\u00a0Refresh<\/strong>. Alternatively, if you want to have new messages continuously added to the list, click\u00a0Start real-time updates<\/strong>.

  6. To view all the messages in a log, go to\u00a0Websites and Domains<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Logs\u00a0<\/strong>> click the\u00a0\"\"\u00a0icon >\u00a0Manage log files<\/strong>. You can click the\u00a0\"Icon_View\"icon next to a log file to open it for viewing in a separate window, or the\u00a0\"Icon_download\"icon do download it. You can also delete log files that have been rotated (log files that have not yet been rotated cannot be removed).

To set up log rotation, go to\u00a0Websites and Domains<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Logs\u00a0<\/strong>> click the\u00a0\"\"\u00a0icon >\u00a0Manage log files<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Log Rotation<\/strong>.
